Two yellow flowers, a daisy and a rose. Both were done for personal atc trades at http://www.artsforall.com/. I have a few more cards to finish up before I take my hiatus.

Meanwhile, I had a fun weekend...creating my first pattern I'm offering at http://topacelot.etsy.com/. It sold 3 times in the first 24 hours! A cute little puppy and bone. And now, I'm off to karaoke :o)

Birds of Prey

Well, I started out with the Ferrungious Hawk, then worked on the Bald Eagle, then the vulture...and the owl became more cartoony (I've done so many more realistic owls that I wanted a random little guy..)

So, hope you enjoy! I'm at work on more and will keep you posted :o)

Well, I have plans this weekend to photo a new model for my hats and then play Blackjack. So plan to see more hats and colors! Also, I finished a watercolor of a Mallard Duck that will be in my Etsy store. Mention reading the announcement in my blog via convo on Etsy and receive 10% off duck. Let me know before you pay and I'll make the adjustment.

Working on a vulture atc also. I already finished a bald eagle and Ferrungous Hawk. I will need to finish a fourth "bird of prey" for the swap and will post them here when they're done :o)

Say hi somewhere if anyone's reading me and thanks to all who do!

A bit about the earlier posted atcs

The rainbow skull was either a dare or make me happy atc done in sharpies.

The hot pink girl was done in sharpies, highters, gel pen and nail polish. She was a dare too and I just love random bold colors women.

The toucan was traded and done in sharpies with some added colored pencil.

**I plan to add one or 2 fine art pieces to my etsy store over the weekend.

My Art this Time Last Year

Well, I thought I'd share a few atcs I created last year. I have a few or more styles that come out based on mood, look I want and how the subject strikes me. So here are Flower Guardian with a bit of my graphic patterning side. It was traded long ago.

Then there is the Gold Cat. That card was a dare of an all gold card (it is, the gold just flashed a bit too white in the middle). So, I based it on a photo of her cat. I've done a lot of cats in all styles, just love creating animal art.

Sun Goddess was also done around the same time. I love making these strong and bold graphic women and faces as one of my usual themes.

The Brown Hat

So I uploaded this quite hippie hat today. It turned out pretty cute with the small border. This is one that I think, hmm, how much brown do I have because I might want one for myself :o)

On my to do list this week is a postcard and a handful of atcs to send in for some trades and swaps. I will upload at least one when I'm done. We shall see what style comes out!

Hello everybody

I have been crocheting for almost 20 years, known for precision, consistancy, simplicity, class and style. My hats have been shown and sold in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens in New York as well as Los Angeles, CA and Teaneck, NJ.
About 8 years ago, I made my mom a hat. After being stopped on the street and in many stores with compliments and inquiries she simply told me, make more. So since then I've been making them and selling them mostly in the New York area for 7, 8 years so far. They add class and style while keeping your head warm in cool weather or on cool nights. Recently I opened up an Etsy store http://www.topacelot.etsy.com/ to reach a wider audience.
As for artist trading cards, I've made and traded over 1500 in the past year and a half or so. Within the community, which has recently moved to http://www.atcsforall.com/ I have also traded pages, dominos, charms, inchies...is that it? Maybe for now :o)
